Earth Skills Series: Fire

  •  June 6, 2025
     4:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Discover the ancient art of fire-making in our Primitive Fire Program, led by ENC President, Bo Glover. In this interactive and hands-on session, Bo will demonstrate traditional fire-starting techniques used by early peoples, sharing fascinating insights into the history, science, and cultural significance of these primitive methods.

Participants will learn about the tools, materials, and skills needed to create fire without modern technology, deepening their appreciation for human ingenuity and our connection to the natural world. The program concludes with a special treat—participants will cook their own dinner over the campfire and enjoy s’mores under the stars.

Bo’s programs are informative and inspiring, reflecting his lifelong commitment to environmental education and sustainability. Whether you’re an outdoor enthusiast, history buff, or simply curious, this program promises to spark your fascination with ancient traditions.
